Resident Staff
We have engaged a Resident Advisor and many Resident Interns to assist students with questions, supervise in the dorms and to be a liaison between the dorms and Peter Merz, Director of the summer Intensive. There is also a supervisory person on duty at the dorms. We will expect all students to coordinate with the Resident Interns to go off campus at any time.
All dancers are expected to follow the curfew times by being in your dorm room each day by the following times: 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM Friday and Saturday for ALL participants.
Additional Housing Information
Roommate Requests
We will pair the participants in their rooms.  If dancers would like to request a specific roommate or suite mates they should indicate that information on their required resident forms.  All parties must request each other in order for the request to be honored.  All request must be submitted on the proper form by April 1, 2017.  Changes after this date cannot be accommodated.  Roommates will not be confirmed until arrival at the program.
Dorm Policies
A $1.00 fee will be charged each time a participant is locked out. Additional fees may apply. Lost key is $100.00 and lost swipe card is $35.00. These charges will be due payable to Ballet West.
Dorm accommodations typically consist of a suite that has two students in a room, each with their own bed, sharing a corner bathroom with another two person room. Alternative room arrangements may apply as available from the University. Provided linens consist of sheets and a pillow case (for one provided pillow), a light blanket and one bath towel and face cloth. You are welcome to bring your own additional towels, blankets and pillows.
Laundry machines are available in the dorms. We anticipate laundry facilities will not have an extra charge.
A limited number of small refrigerators are available for a fee of $75.00. Refrigerators are on a first-purchased first-reserved basis. We suggest paying the rental fee at the same time as the housing deposit. All refrigerators must be reserved by April 1, 2017.
Casual Wear:
Summers in Salt Lake City tend to be quite warm and dry, with temperatures in the 90s.  Evening may be cooler, with temperatures in the 70s.  Students should bring casual summer clothing and several long-sleeved shirts, pants and a light jacket.
Campus police are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; however we recommend that students always travel in groups of three or more.
