SINGLE TICKETS ON SALE SEPT. 7!

59TH SEASON OFFERS UNIQUE AND DYNAMIC PREMIERES, NEW SETS FOR A CLASSIC FAVORITE, AND THE RETURN OF ONE OF THE MOST DRAMATIC BALLETS OF ALL TIME

Single tickets for Ballet West’s upcoming season performances, including The Nutcracker, will go on sale beginning Sept. 7. Individual tickets will also be available for additional performances added for The Sleeping Beauty, by popular demand.

Come see why 65,000 people attended Ballet West performances last year. With individual tickets starting at just $29, it’s an opportunity to see why the community continues to gather and share a common joy for live ballet with live music.

“We have such a broad spectrum of choreography this year,” said Artistic Director Adam Sklute referencing the upcoming season. Sklute adds, “If you want a good story, breathtaking dancing, strong athletics, beautiful music – there is really something for everybody.”

Season 59 opens with Onegin, a Romantic-era tale of passion, tragedy, and triumph. November has a powerhouse triple-bill featuring the joyous Rodeo by legendary choreographer Agnes de Mille set to Aaron Copland’s classic American score. The program also includes George Balanchine’s soaring and elegant Concerto Barocco, and Jiří Kylián’s heart-stopping ode to loss and longing, Return to a Strange Land.

Willam Christensen’s historic production of The Nutcracker will be back for the holidays, followed by the beloved fairy tale The Sleeping Beauty—featuring spectacular brand-new sets designed by acclaimed French artist Alain Vaes, thanks to a generous contribution from John and Andrea Miller and grant from the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation.

The season finale features three Ballet West premieres with two centennial celebrations: the 100th anniversary production of Bronislava Nijinska’s groundbreaking masterpiece, Les Noces (The Wedding); Jerome Robbins’ intimate In the Night; and Gerald Arpino’s sizzling Light Rain—in honor of Arpino’s 100th birthday. The charming Snow White, specifically designed for children and performed by BWII and students from the Ballet West Academy, is the Family Classics series add-on.

The 2022-2023 season will include the Ballet West Orchestra, led by acclaimed music director Jared Oaks. The 22/23 Season is generously sponsored by the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation and Salt Lake Zoo, Arts & Parks, and Intermountain Health Care.

Single tickets go on sale starting at just $29; season subscriptions are still available. Five-show packages start at $131. Contact Ballet West at 801-869-6900 or visit www.balletwest.org.
