COVID-19 Update

We are happy to continue to welcome you safely to live performances at Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre.

To ensure the health and safety of visitors to the Capitol Theatre, Salt Lake County Arts & Culture has implemented safety guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19. This includes socially distanced seating and requiring that masks be worn in the theatre at all times, including during the performance.

We appreciate your cooperation in complying with all Arts & Culture safety measures as we work to ensure the health and safety of our patrons, performers, and staff and remain open for live events.

For further COVID-19 safety protocol details, please visit the COVID-19 FAQ page or contact Patron Services at ticketoffice@balletwest.org

Limited Ticket Availability!

To promote physical distancing, the Capitol Theatre will only be at 20 percent capacity, leaving ample room between patrons. With limited capacity, performances will sell out quickly – many already have! Plan ahead and purchase early for the best seats and prices!

Precious Gems

“Precious Gems is a glittering jewel box of dynamic solos, duets, and small ensembles,” said Artistic Director Adam Sklute. “From elegant classical works to romantic contemporary pieces, the program will highlight the strength and beauty of the artists and the broad and diverse repertoire Ballet West has become known for.”

The program includes eight short excerpted pieces including a section from Val Caniparoli’s fan favorite Lambarena, a work that fuses the classicism of Bach with traditional African dance and music. Also being presented are Variations for Four, Anton Dolin’s thrilling pyrotechnical showpiece for four men, the program finishes with the rousing classic, Paquita by Marius Petipa as staged by Elena Kunikova.

All subscribers will be contacted by phone regarding their seats for each performance. An email will also be sent out where subscribers can choose to donate their tickets or receive a gift certificate for a future performance. Since the performances have not been cancelled, merely a change in repertoire, refunds will not be available.

Due to the high volume of calls, we recommend emailing ticketoffice@balletwest.org with any questions or concerns.
