Ballet West Donor Tour: New York, NY

September 27-29, 2019

The donor tour package includes tickets to the prestigious Works & Process lecture series at the Guggenheim Museum, featuring a presentation on Ballet West’s upcoming program, Balanchine’s Ballets Russes. A panel of experts, moderated by renowned dance historian Lynn Garafola, will discuss early works by George Balanchine that are slated for Ballet West’s season opening program this fall.

The discussion, with dance excerpts performed by Ballet West artists, will focus on the U.S. premiere of the 1924 Le Chant du Rossignol (The song of the Nightingale), with costumes by Henri Matisse, and the Ballet West premiere of the 1928 Apollo, including the rarely seen original birthing scene and the final ascent to Mount Olympus. This will be a fascinating, not-to-be-missed experience.

Other activities include:

  • Customized dance-centric tours of the Morgan Library & Museum, Museum of Modern Art, and Metropolitan Museum of Art
  • A New York City Ballet performance
  • A Broadway production
  • Meals with Ballet West Artistic Director Adam Sklute
  • And more!

Donor tour packages are $2,500 and limited to 20 guests. Spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Hotels and flight not included.

À la carte access to individual events will be offered based on availability, starting August 15.
