About Jordan Richardson:
Richardson has been with Ballet West for nine seasons. She grew up in Boulder, Colorado, and danced with Boulder Ballet under the direction of Ana Claire. Upon graduating from high school Jordan joined the Graduate Program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater where she trained with Marjorie Grundvig, Dennis Marshal, and Terrence S. Orr. While at PBT, Jordan enjoyed performing the role of Dark Angel in George Balanchine’s Serenade. Before joining Ballet West in 2011, Jordan danced with Nevada Ballet Theater under the direction of James Canfield. Since joining the corps de ballet at Ballet West Jordan has enjoyed the opportunity to perform many roles. Many of her favorites include Arabian in The Nutcracker, White Cat in Sleeping Beauty, Jerome Robbins’ Fancy Free, Nicolo Fonte’s Carmina Burana, and Balanchine’s Emeralds and Serenade. Jordan has been featured in both Dance Magazine and Pointe Magazine for her life as a dancer and for her business, Ballerina Baker, a luxury wedding cake company. During her free time, Jordan loves to spend time with her husband, principal dancer Adrian Fry and their Scottish Terrier, Tater. She loves to cook and bake, and you will often find her in her garden or with power tools in hand fixing up their 100-year-old home.
