About Jake Preece:

Preece has danced with Ballet West for four years. At age thirteen, Jake began his training at Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, British Columbia under the direction of Chan Hon Goh. At age sixteen, Jake was offered a scholarship to train at The School of American Ballet in New York City. He continued his training in Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s Professional Division in Seattle, Washington. In Spring 2016, Jake auditioned for Ballet West and was offered a contract in Ballet West’s Second Company for the 2016/2017 season. While in the Second Company, Jake danced principal roles in Nicolo Fonte’s Piece of My Heart, and Peggy Dolkas and Pamela Robinson’s family series production’s of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. In 2019, Jake was offered a main company contract with Ballet West. Since joining Ballet West, Jake has danced corps roles in Adam Sklute’s Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Giselle, Fredrik Ashton’s Cinderella, John Cranko’s Onegin, and George Balanchine’s Prodigal Son and Jewels.
