May 17, 18 & 22-25, 2013

AT THE ROSE WAGNER PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Since its inception, Ballet West’s Innovations has become a platform for up-and-coming American choreographers. This year’s Innovations 2013 will spotlight new creations by Ballet West artists, the revival of Christopher Ruud’s 2011 Trapped and a world premiere by emerging choreographer Jodie Gates.

“…achingly fresh… a bracing, delicious experience.” – Celia Baker, The Salt Lake Tribune

The Lottery 1

November 2, 3 & 7-10, 2012

Based on Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery* – one of the most famous short stories in American literature – this world premiere by former Ballet West resident choreographers Val Caniparoli tells the story of a quiet American town with a startling and frightening secret.  This exciting triple-bill also includes the return of Nicolo Fonte’s critically acclaimed Bolero to music by Maurice Ravel.  Rounding out the program is the revival and reworking of Helen Pickett’s But Never Doubt I Love.
