Ballet West Artistic Director Adam Sklute is pleased to announce nine promotions and nine new additions to Ballet West and Ballet West II for the 2011-12 season.
Company Promotions and Advancements
Katherine Lawrence has been promoted from Senior Soloist to Principal Artist. She joins returning Principal Artists Michael Bearden, Christiana Bennett and Christopher Ruud.
Beau Pearson and Arolyn Williams have been moved up in rank from Demi-Soloist to Soloist; Emily Adams and Allison DeBona have been promoted from Artist to Demi-Soloist; and Tyler Gum has been moved up from First Year Apprentice to the New Artist rank.
From Ballet West II, the Company welcomes Beckanne Sisk and Kathryn Hein as New Artists, and Trevor Naumann, and Jamie Lynn Schultz in the First Year Apprentice category.
New Additions to Ballet West
The Company welcomes former Principal Dancer with Oregon Ballet Theater and Oklahoma City Ballet, Ronnie Underwood who joins Ballet West as a Soloist; Katlyn Addison, formerly of The Houston Ballet joins the Company at the rank of Artist; and Colorado native Jordan Richardson joins Ballet West as a First Year Apprentice.
New Additions to Ballet West II
Ballet West’s pre-professional company – Ballet West II – welcomes three dancers from the Ballet West Academy Professional Training Division – Paige Adams, Kaya Aman, and Zachary Prentice; Kimberly Ballard joins from The University of Utah Ballet Department; and Ballet West II welcomes Emily Liu from California; Amber Miller from New York; and Ian Tanzer from Boston.
At the conclusion of its 2010-11 season, Ballet West will bid a fond farewell to Senior Soloist Annie Breneman; Soloist Jason Linsley; Artists Silver Barkes, Elizabeth Murphy, Jennifer Robinson, and Kira Smith; and Ballet West II members Elanor Bock and Gabriella Hayes Moore.
