It will also be a groundbreaking dancer/audience interactive experience, with the audience finding out the secret before the dancers - Not to be missed! This exciting triple-bill will also include the return of Nicolo Fonte’s critically acclaimed audience favorite, Bolero, to music by Maurice Ravel, and the revival and reworking of Helen Pickett's But Never Doubt I Love, set to music by Felix Mendelssohn and Franz Liszt.  In December the magic continues with Utah’s favorite holiday tradition – Willam Christensen’s The Nutcracker. In February, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Ballet West unveils a sparkling and opulent new production of Cinderella by the great Sir Frederick Ashton, complete with the heart-stopping score by Sergei Prokofiev. In the spring, Ballet West presents Jewels, a Utah premiere showcasing George Balanchine’s masterful choreography in a radiant triple bill. Known as the first abstract full-length work, this exquisite ballet is presented in three acts—Emeralds, Rubies and Diamonds – each evoking a dramatically different mood.  Ballet West’s season concludes with Innovations 2013, spotlighting new works by Ballet West artists including the revival of Christopher Ruud’s 2011 Trapped and a world premiere by emerging choreographer Jodie Gates.

“Our 2012-2013 Season is going to be utterly spectacular.” said Ballet West Artistic Director Adam Sklute. “Whether you are a seasoned ballet patron or novice to the art form, this year's repertoire will delight and fascinate you with its magic, athleticism and beauty.”
