How will this year’s Gala be different from other past Ballet West Gala’s?

This year’s Gala will take full advantage of the spectacular combination
of the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre AND the stunning new Jessie Eccles Quinney Ballet Centre.  

This year’s Gala combined with a brand new Ballet West opening night of the season, will make this year’s Gala a true “can’t be missed” fall event.

Why was the decision made to host this year’s Gala on the opening night of the season?

Given the stunning nature of our new building, it was decided to host the organization’s biggest and most
spectacular celebration of the year in Ballet West’s beautiful new home.

What is the price of this year’s Gala tickets?

What does the purchase of a Gala ticket include?

The $300 ticket includes a formal VIP seated supper prior to the performance of Iconic Classics. 
The price does not include tickets to the performance, which must be purchased separately.
The purchase of a table to the seated VIP dinner is also available.  

Is there a formal dinner?

Yes. There will be a formal, seated dinner hosted in the Main Company Studios prior to the performance. 

Do I need to purchase a Gala ticket if I already have performance tickets for that evening?

Yes, you will still need to purchase a Gala ticket if you wish to attend the additional festivities that evening.

Does my Gala ticket include a ticket for the performance?

No. Your Gala ticket is a separate ticket than your performance ticket.  If you are an Opening-Night
ticket holder, you already have your ticket for the performance.  If you are a subscriber for a performance
other than Opening Night, you may switch your tickets to Opening Night by contacting
Patron Services at (801) 869-6920.  If you are not a subscriber and need to purchase performance tickets
on the night of the Gala, please call (801) 869-6963.  

Who is doing the décor and food for this year’s Gala?

Culinary Crafts, Utah’s Best Of State Caterer for 12 years in a row, will be providing
all catering for our Opening Night Gala.

Who will be providing entertainment for this year’s Gala?

Gold Standard (www.goldstandardmusic.com) will be providing entertainment
during the post-performance party in the Company studios.  The Joe Muscolino Band (http://www.joemuscolinoband.com)
will be providing entertainment in the Capitol Theatre lobby.  

What is the suggested dress code for this year’s Gala?

The dress code is black tie optional. 

How much of my Gala ticket is tax-deductible?

The tax deductible portion of a $300 Gala ticket is $215.
